#001.Dead and Gone expects all its players to act both mature and polite whilst ‘OOC’. Harassment of any kind is not permitted (types of harassment include: sexual harassment, racial harassment, etc.), and neither is any form of bullying. If either occur and adequate proof is given, the offender(s) will be dealt with accordingly.
#002. With regards to its players acting maturely, Dead and Gone allows some forms of ‘chat speak’ which include: lmao, omg, lol. Typing like someone who does not know correct English (‘dis’, ‘kewl’, ‘ur an idiot’, ‘u’, and so on and so forth) is a punishable offence. Please do not slaughter your keyboards and the eyes of other members by typing like that.
#003. Upon reading the above rule, the staff of Dead and Gone also expect that its players will not power-play, god-mode or script. For those that do not know what either of these definitions mean, god-mode is when you control another person’s character, power-playing is when you’re in a fight and you don’t let your character take any hits - and scripting is when you post as if you are writing a script (for example; BOB: *moves to the side* This tastes nice! *licks lips*).
#004. If your character has developed a grudge or some sort of hatred against another character, Dead and Gone asks that you do not carry the grudge through to ‘OOC’ mode. It is not necessary and there is an obvious difference between ‘IC’ and ‘OOC’, so please note that. It is also an offence and any player(s) that commit it will be punished.
#005. When posting an image within the Dead and Gone boards, you must make sure that it complies with the ProBoards Terms of Service. This means that it must not hotlink, it must not contain sexual/racist references (pornography, etcetera) and - as an add on to their TOS - should not stretch the boards. Any images that do stretch the boards will be reduced to a link, and any player found posting inappropriate images will be banned without hesitation and reported.
#006. Once accepted by a member of staff, new members of Dead and Gone should post anywhere ‘IC’ within their first week of joining or risk facing deletion. The only exceptions that will be made are if you have contacted a member of staff beforehand and explained that you will be away/will not be able to access Depths for X amount of days.
#007. Like on every site, Dead and Gone also does not appreciate inactivity. It is somewhat acceptable during the school months, but if you do start to become inactive, please contact a member of staff whenever you get the chance to and explain why. Otherwise, do attempt to post at least once a week, and if you can’t, take the first option mentioned.
#001. Dogs can breed at the age of two—bitches must wait until the age of three, and long breeding is not allowed on the boards. If you wish to breed graphically, take it to your messages, but be sure to post on the ‘Breeding’ section of the Updates board about your characters mating.
#002. Litters can be conceived at any time during the year. To conceive a litter, both you and your character’s mate (or the dog that bred with your character) must fill out the form in the ‘Breeding’ section of the Updates form and wait for a staff member to give you the statistics of your litter.
#003. Litter stats are decided at random. Don’t ask or beg for a certain gender or number of puppies – all requests will be ignored.
#004. The hierarchy of each pack differs from pack to pack, as do the rules of each pack. If you don’t want your dog to join a pack then they can be a loner, although they’re free to join any pack at any time during their lives.
#005. Dogs can and will die. We have a year system in place (check the table on the main page for details), and you will be expected to age your characters according to the system. If you don’t, we’ll do it for you.
#006. Force breeding is allowed, and it can be done with or without the consent of the other dog’s player. However, whether or not a litter is conceived is up to the staff, and you must not powerplay. Any powerplaying will result in the rape being terminated and the offender being punished.
#007. Dogs can fight for anything—food, mates, a rank or territory. Fighting can take place anywhere, and both dogs will get two chances at attacking their opponent and two chances at defending themselves. A member of staff will judge the fights depending on the quality of the posts and the fighting in general, and after four posts (from each dog), the winner of the fight will be decided.
#001. Random events—both good and bad—will occur, as the name says, at random. It could be a bad weather forecast that kills a character, or a character gets raped by another character—it all depends. However, the player(s) of the character(s) that will be involved in a random event will be contacted beforehand, so never fear. (:
#002. Here at Dead and Gone, we actively encourage you to make your own plots together, which is the main reason why the site has no set-in-stone plot of its own. We’ve done this for a reason; to give you the chance to go absolutely wild with ideas. All breeds of dogs are allowed—even wolf-dog hybrids (within reason)—and the only thing that we don’t allow are wolves. Please note and respect that.
#003. Treat each other with respect (out of character, at least) and enjoy yourselves. (: If you have any questions, feel free to contact a staff member and we’ll do our best to answer them.
