When you continue, take it to a certain point and then fade it out. From then on, you can take the graphic breeding to PMs or leave it for a day and get the litter results posted. Note: Whether you take the rest of the breeding to PM or not, the results of the mating will still be posted here a day later. Once the results have been posted, the female can role-play out the pregnancy for as long as she likes or head to the End Wall to give birth 'straight away'*. Obviously 'straight away' isn't as soon as the mating takes place.
